I went to work as usual today and tried to concentrate on my tasks. Catherine called me around 2:00 PM and asked if I had heard from the Doctor yet. I hadn't, so I called Dr.Wait's office and left a message. About 15 minutes later he returned my call and told me what I hoped I wouldn't hear. The biopsy results were that I have Adenocarcinoma... I have lung cancer. How I held it together, I don't really know, but I called Catherine back, and then Melissa and Grant (my son). I told my co-workers the outcome, finished out the day in somewhat of a daze, and drove home in silence...
